NANGKOR TOURS AND TRAVELS An opportunity to explore into the hidden land - BHUTAN...
Bhutan is a small land locked country in the Eastern Himalayas bordered by India in the south and China in the North. It has one of the most formidable mountainous terrains in the world, ranging from 100 meters to 7,500 meters in height. The country has a wide climatic zone ranging from the wet subtropical in the south to cool alpine zone in the north within a distance of approximately 150km.

About 69% of the population lives in rural areas and the average land holding recorded is less than 1.5 hectares per household. Farmers cultivate a wide range of crops, keep high numbers of livestock heads and use forest products to meet their daily subsistent needs.

Gross National Happiness is the overarching development philosophy of Bhutan.

It recognizes the need to balance material well-being with spiritual, emotional and culture well-being of the individual and the society for a holistic development. Travel to Bhutan requires advance preparation. Visas are issued in advance and no visas are issued upon arrival at the airport.
